Principles

The rules that don't bend.

PiChan exists to report what it saw, so traders can judge for themselves. These commitments keep it honest. Hold us to them. If we break one, it goes in the public Corrections log.

  1. 01

    Truth is free.

Findings, the Scorecard, token history and the methodology are free to read, for everyone, always.

Rules out: Putting a finding behind a paywall.

  2. 02

    Nothing paid touches a finding.

No project can pay for a better record, a different transparency level, or a place on Radar. Paid features change what you can do, never what PiChan reports.

Rules out: Paid placement, paid edits, paid silence.

  3. 03

    No verdicts.

PiChan reports findings, counts and explanations. It never gives a token a verdict or a score. You are the Trader; you judge.

Rules out: Scores that turn evidence into comfort.

  4. 04

    Unknown is an answer.

When PiChan hasn't seen enough, it says Unknown and gives the reason. Missing evidence is never treated as a reason to relax.

Rules out: Filling gaps with guesses or defaults.

  5. 05

    Every number shows its working.

Each finding links the transaction or source behind it, with a UTC time and a scope. Every percentage carries its n.

Rules out: Numbers without a source, a time or a sample size.

  6. 06

    History is kept.

Records are appended, never rewritten. When PiChan gets something wrong, the correction is added in public, next to the original.

Rules out: Quietly editing the past.

  7. 07

Providers feed evidence, they don't define it.

Third-party data is an input PiChan checks against the chain, not a verdict it repeats.

Rules out: Passing on someone else's label as a finding.

  8. 08

    Researchers are protected.

People who report findings to PiChan are never identified to the projects they report on.

Rules out: Revealing who flagged what.

Know what you're using

What PiChan is not.

PiChan is a guard and a memory. It watches, records and reports. Everything else is somebody else's job.

  • Not financial advice. PiChan never tells you to buy or sell, and never predicts a price.
  • Not a rating agency. No grades, no scores, no stamps of approval.
  • Not a trading terminal. It doesn't hold your funds or place your trades.
  • Not a promoter. Being listed or tracked is not an endorsement.
  • Not infallible. It shows its confidence and corrects its mistakes in public.

Follow the money

How PiChan pays for itself.

A tool that reports on projects can't be paid by them to report differently. So the money never comes from changing what PiChan reports.

Always free

Findings, the Scorecard, history and the methodology.

Later

Optional paid tools for traders may come later, such as more guarded positions. They change what you can do, never what PiChan reports.

No trade links

PiChan's site has no trade links. If that ever changes, any referral fee is labelled, and it never changes a finding.

When anything here changes, this page changes first, with the date.

See the rules at work.

Every number in the Scorecard carries its time, its scope and its n.
